Dear Devotees and Well-Wishers,
All glories to His Divine Grace Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Goswami Thakur Prabhupada and Guru-Parampara (disciplic succession).
I would like to share my concern about the Gaura-Purnima festival 2011 with you. During the festival we are hosting mostly economically poor devotees. They are unable to afford food and lodging costs to stay in our temple. This year (2011) we are expecting about the same number of devotees as last year (an average of 2000 devotees each day). We are therefore also expecting that the same quantity of BHOGA/ingredients will be required for the upcoming Gaura-Purnima festival. The price of all ingredients have increased significantly, more than anticipated, and therefore we are humbly begging for your help (financially, physically, and mentally) in order to maintain the festival as we have maintained over the last few years. I hope you do not mind to get yourself involved with us to collect ingredients or help financially to get ingredients in order to serve the Vaisnavas who will attend the Gaura-Purnima festival 2011.
This year our festival will continue from the 12th to 20thof March, 2011. Last year an average of 2000 devotees daily gathered for participating in NavadwipdhamParikrama and Gaura-Purnima festival under Sri GopinathGaudiya Math’s guidance.
In order to cater to an average of 2000 devotees daily, offering them Prasad three times each day from the 12th to 20th of March, and for other arrangements at the festival, the following ingredients will be required:
