Srila Prabhupada’s Mission of Divine Love July 2012

His Divine Grace Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Goswami Thakur Prabhupada is the founder of a great Mission through which people are getting inspiration to practice ‘Love’. In order to share this taste of blissful love, the members of Srila Prabhupada’s Mission are spreading the Love all over the world.  In this age of quarrel, Kali-Yuga, it is most important for every family and all members of present society to understand true love. But due to the lack of understanding of the word Love we are misleading people and making them more and more selfish. Therefore we can see in the present world that in the name of love the government is issuing licenses which in turn result in the increase of slaughter houses, and the killing of animals as well as other living entities.

Srila Prabhupada is a follower of Sri Krishna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, the incarnation of love. According to the instruction of Sri Krishna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu we have no right to kill anyone if we are not capable of delivering them from their miserable situation. Therefore, Srila Prabhupada has established in his Mission the exclusive use of vegetables, grains and milk products; no animal foods at all.

Actually, according to our eating habit we create our character. If a person is eating radishes the whole day then by the end of the day their burp will smell of radishes only, not any other smell. In the same way, if we eat animal food then our nature also becomes like an animal. Therefore, we can see day by day that human nature in the name of love is becoming lusty. In any metropolitan city or any well-visited park we can see that human behavior is without shame. We are seeing openly lusty behavior between boys and girls just as we see the same nature amongst animal society. As a result, one of the most important principles of humanity, controlling our senses, is reducing day by day. In order to have human society stand in proper order we need to control our senses and keep tolerance and monogamy. Unfortunately, nowadays due to the misrepresentation of love and lust people are unable to discriminate the real meaning of both words and are unable to understand the beauty of monogamy in society. Monogamy creates a beautiful scene where children see their parents happily together, and the parents can raise them with peaceful minds, giving their children proper affection.

All vegetables, flowers, and fruits have life; they need to be delivered from their present life to the human form. Srila Prabhupada was teaching us to deliver the vegetables by offering them to the Lord.  The human form is the most important form amongst all living entities because in this form only are we able to establish loving relations with every living being. Only this form will allow us to deliver ourselves from our miserable situation on this mundane earth. Therefore, in order to survive in this mundane world without hurting anybody we have to offer whatever we want to use in order to maintain our life. Therefore, Srila Prabhupada opened many centers in India, and he said repeatedly to please practice love, then we can be in love and share the love with every living being.

Once, Srila Prabhupada taught us that in order to help someone properly understand love we have to be willing to spend gallons of blood. This means that we have to spend lots of time and energy with the person. Throughout our whole life if we keep endeavoring to spread the message of love amongst the people, if only one of them understands the real meaning of love and practices accordingly then our preaching endeavor will be successful. In this age of quarrel, the embodiment of Love has appeared with the form of, “Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare/ Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare.” This is my humble request to all readers – please try to chant the above form of love manifested in this world and keep loving relations with all living beings, gradually proceed with your life and be delivered from your present miserable situation.
